Bring striped foliage to a sheltered garden with Variegated Spiral Ginger. Its green-and-cream leaves spiral around upright stems, adding a bright accent among solid-green tropical plants.
Light
Choose partial shade or filtered light, with protection from harsh afternoon sun.
Soil & water
Provide rich, well-drained soil and regular moisture during active growth. Let excess water escape and avoid keeping the roots waterlogged.
Planning your space
Allow room for the clump to spread. Cooler weather may cause the plant to become dormant; adjust watering to active growth and soil moisture rather than following a fixed schedule.
