This herb prefers well-draining, moderately rich soil with a slightly acidic to neutral pH (6.2–6.8). A loamy or sandy soil enriched with organic matter helps it grow lush and healthy.

Water needs

Cilantro likes consistent moisture, so water regularly to keep the soil evenly moist but not soggy. Avoid letting the soil dry out completely, as it can cause the plant to bolt. Mulching can help retain soil moisture, especially in warmer weather.
