Bring a hanging tropical display to a spacious planting with Hanging Lobster Claw. Heliconia rostrata has broad, banana-like leaves and pendulous bracts in red, yellow, and green.

Light

Choose a warm, sheltered position with sun to partial shade. Protect from cold and strong wind.

Soil & water

Provide rich, well-drained soil and regular moisture during active growth. Let excess water escape and avoid keeping the roots waterlogged.

Planning your space

Allow generous room for the clump and hanging flower stems. Request current photos if bloom status or overall plant dimensions matter to your plan.
