Add a little succulent character to a bright space with Elephant Bush. Its small, fleshy green leaves and reddish stems suit containers and bonsai projects. It is also known as Spekboom or Dwarf Jade.
Light
Provide bright light. Introduce the plant gradually to stronger outdoor sun to help prevent leaf scorch.
Soil & water
Choose a fast-draining succulent mix and a pot with drainage holes. Let the soil dry between waterings, then water thoroughly and allow excess water to escape. Reduce watering when growth slows.
Good to know
Elephant Bush is Portulacaria afra, rather than the jade plant Crassula ovata. Check the selected option for the plant offered; a particular growth form or variegated cultivar is not specified here.
