Parrot Palm / Arikury Palm — Syagrus schizophylla

A small, upright palm with feather-like foliage, generally about 12 feet tall and 6 feet wide. Its leaf stalks are spiny: wear protective gloves and allow clearance from paths and play areas.

Care: Choose a warm landscape location with well-drained soil. Water during establishment and dry periods, adjusting to rainfall and soil moisture. Monitor palm nutrition; this species is particularly susceptible to potassium deficiency. Remove dead fronds and seek local palm guidance for persistent yellowing or decline.

15-gallon plant, $262.49. Local delivery or Fort Lauderdale pickup only; no nationwide shipping. Current plant photos available on request. Delivery and installation depend on location and cart eligibility.
