Light requirements
This lovely plant thrives in full sun! It loves soaking up those rays, which encourages its vibrant blue flowers to bloom. If you're growing it indoors, make sure it gets plenty of bright light, though it can tolerate some light shade as well.
Soil preferences, including pH and drainage
Evolvulus prefers well-draining, light, and slightly acidic to neutral soil (pH 6.0–7.0). It does best in sandy or loamy soil that dries out between waterings. Be sure to use a potting mix that allows for good drainage to avoid root rot.
Water needs
This plant is fairly drought-tolerant once established, but it still needs regular watering, especially during hot weather. Let the top inch of soil dry out between waterings, and avoid letting it sit in excess water. It thrives in slightly drier conditions, so be careful not to overwater.
