The Everglades Tomato (Solanum pimpinellifolium) is a heat-tolerant, indeterminate wild-type tomato variety native to the coastal regions of Peru and Ecuador, though it is now widely naturalized and considered a staple in Florida gardens. It produces small, currant-sized fruits (approx. 1–2 cm) with a sweet-tart, intense flavor and thin skin, making them ideal for fresh snacking, salads, or quick sauces.
