Drought-Tolerant

Drought-tolerant plants are sought after in South Florida for resilience and sustainability

All of the plants we install in any South Florida landscape are considered drought-tolerant once established. What that means:

How Long Does it Take for a Plant to 'Establish' ?

That depends on the plant, installation location and other factors- but in general, it's longer than you think. As a rule of thumb, keep an eye on your new install for 6 months. I've allowed so many Ixoras and Podocarpus to die from neglect because I assumed they were 'established.'

What Care Does a Plant Need to Establish ?

If the installation location is suitable (enough shade / sun, amended soil) then all it will need is your attention and regular water. Dry roots will stunt growth and increase chances of ending up like every ixora I've ever tried😵
