This stunning tropical loves bright, indirect light. Think of dappled sunlight streaming through a canopy—it’s perfect for keeping those vibrant blooms popping! Avoid direct sun, as it can scorch the glossy leaves.
Soil preferences, including pH and drainage
Anthurium andraeanum prefers a light, well-draining soil mix with plenty of organic matter. A mix designed for orchids or a peat-based blend with perlite works like a charm. It’s happiest in slightly acidic to neutral soil, around pH 5.5–6.5.
Water needs
Keep it evenly moist but never soggy. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry, and don’t forget to empty any excess water from the saucer—this beauty doesn’t like wet feet! High humidity is a bonus, so misting can help it feel at home.
