Aglaonema 'Silver Bay'
Binomial name
Aglaonema
Light requirements
This plant is a shade-lover! It thrives in low to medium light, making it perfect for cozy corners or spots without direct sunlight. Bonus: It’s super adaptable, so even a little indirect light keeps it happy.
Soil preferences, including pH and drainage
Aglaonema prefers well-draining soil that’s rich in organic matter. A mix with peat and perlite works great! It’s not fussy about pH, but neutral to slightly acidic soil (around 6.0–7.0) keeps it thriving.
Water needs
Moderation is the key here. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry, but don’t let it sit in soggy conditions—this plant likes its roots cozy but not waterlogged. If you forget to water now and then, Aglaonema will forgive you!
